Dummy bombs and explosive charges for airsoft

An airsoft dummy bomb is an electronic unit that simulates an explosive device: one team arms it, the other has to neutralise it before the countdown runs out. It holds no explosive material, fires nothing and cannot produce a real detonation. Everything rides on the clock and on the pressure it puts on the players.

How a defusal scenario plays out

The attacking team places the device on an objective and starts the countdown. The defending team has to reach it and stop it in time. At zero, sound and light effects announce the explosion and the round is lost.

How you defuse changes with the model, and that is what sets two very different moods apart: cutting wires at the right instant takes nerve, cracking a code takes deduction, and unplugging cleanly under fire mostly takes steady hands.

How to choose

The cheapest option

If budget comes first, the Dummy SEUMTEX Kit is an electronic bomb supplied as a kit: the board arrives programmed and the main components are already soldered, you handle final assembly. Two modes are built in, including a back-and-forth contest where one team pushes the counter towards zero while the other freezes it.

Running the game from a phone

The MAG 2.1 Case can take a Bluetooth option. The organiser then sets the game up from an Android application: start or stop a round, trigger the countdown, and follow the remaining time and current code live, without going near the objective. This option is Android only — there is no iOS application.

Safety and regulations

These devices are game accessories: no explosive, no weapon, no ammunition. Their appearance is deliberately evocative, which imposes one simple rule — they are used on a playing field only, in an organised setting, carried out of sight, and never taken out in a public place.

Frequently asked questions

Is an airsoft dummy bomb dangerous?

No. It is a battery-powered electronic unit with no explosive and no projectile. The only effects it produces are sound and light.

Do I need an application to use one?

No, the devices work on their own. The MAG 2.1 Case optionally accepts Bluetooth remote control from an Android application; that application does not exist on iOS.

What is the difference between the Fake C4 Bomb and the Explosive Charge?

The C4 is a game of reflexes: cut every wire during a brief green flash. The Explosive Charge, heavier and more imposing, offers a more forgiving defusal with three modes to choose from.

Can this equipment be used outside airsoft?

Yes, it is widely used in paintball, escape games and live-action role-play. In every case the use stays within an organised, private setting.
